Preston Market by Connor

Preston Market

Last Thursday all middle school students and teachers went to the preston market.

When we got to the preston market we all had to get into our groups. the people in my group were will, briony, caitlin and alanah.

After that we all got to go shopping. i got ham first, then I got a tomato, then I got my roll.

When everyone was finished we all got back on the bus and went back to school to make our roll or sandwich.

When we got back to school we all got to make a roll or sandwich then we got to eat it. The sandwich was really nice.

Preston Market Excursion

Middle School had a fantastic time on our excursion to the Preston Market last Thursday, enjoying all the sights, sounds and experiences the market had to offer.  MSR was also very excited to learn about and taste a range of different vegetables and fruits during our incursion at school on Wednesday.

This week students wrote about the things they enjoyed most during the excursion and incursion.  These will be posted onto our blog as they finish publishing them.

Start of Term 2

MSR has had a fantastic start to Term 2 and everyone is very excited to have a new student in the class.

This week we have enjoyed competing in cross country and creating comic strips showing our favourite activities.

We are all excited about the term ahead.

Term 1

MSR has had a fantastic first term so far this year and has completed a lot of exciting activities including:
  • Creating 'My Classroom Restaurant Rules' vegatables and fruits (where students created highly creative posters, 3D fruit and vegatables and speeches).
  • ICT creations, posters and graphs on Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Imaginative narrative plans and short stories.
  • Swimming Carnival
At the moment we are busy preparing for Show Day this Wednesday where we'll be hosting the 'Hoop Throwing Competition'.  Students have been involved in creating the set up and design for the stall, the prizes and have decided on the costs and rules involved in the competiton.

Overall it has been a very exciting first term and we are all looking forward to an equally fantastic Term 2.

MSR has had a great start to the year and has enjoyed doing lots of activities during the last two weeks.  We have got a class mascot, a very cute yellow canary named Sparkles (a photo of Sparkles will be posted shortly).  We're looking forward to having a fantastic first term and will keep everyone updated regularly via our blog.
